Homofobi sï¿½zcï¿½ï¿½ï¿½, dar anlamï¿½yla eï¿½cinsellere, geniï¿½ anlamï¿½yla ise tï¿½m LGBTï¿½lere (Lezbiyen, Gey, Biseksï¿½el, Trans) yï¿½nelik ï¿½nyargï¿½lara ve dï¿½ï¿½manlï¿½ï¿½a iï¿½aret eder. Kiï¿½iler homofobik davranï¿½ï¿½larï¿½ daha ziyade gï¿½ndelik tutumlar ï¿½zerinden sergiler. Onlara son derece doï¿½al gelen bu tutumun altï¿½nda, niyetten baï¿½ï¿½msï¿½z olarak ideolojik bir arka plan vardï¿½r. Dolayï¿½sï¿½yla homofobiyle mï¿½cadele, ï¿½ncelikle pratik deï¿½il ideolojik bir mï¿½cadeledir.

Sï¿½zï¿½ edilen ayrï¿½mcï¿½lï¿½k tï¿½rleri, milyonlarca emekï¿½i tarafï¿½ndan benimsenir; emekï¿½ilerin ortak noktasï¿½ olan sï¿½nï¿½f kimliï¿½i geri planda kalï¿½r, unutturulur.

Bir toplumda herkesin heteroseksï¿½el olduï¿½u varsayï¿½mï¿½, heteroseksizm olarak ifade edilir. Buna gï¿½re herkes dï¿½nyaya heteroseksï¿½el olarak gelir, ï¿½doï¿½al ve normalï¿½ olan budur. Gï¿½nï¿½mï¿½zde bu ï¿½nermenin bir safsatadan ibaret olduï¿½unu biliyoruz. Diï¿½er taraftan ï¿½herkes heteroseksï¿½eldirï¿½ dayatmasï¿½na karï¿½ï¿½ ï¿½retilen ï¿½herkes biraz eï¿½cinseldirï¿½ argï¿½manï¿½nï¿½n da hiï¿½bir geï¿½erliliï¿½i yok.
Tamamen veya baskï¿½n heteroseksï¿½el olmayan bï¿½yï¿½k bir toplumsal kesimin varlï¿½ï¿½ï¿½, herkesin biraz eï¿½cinsel olduï¿½unu deï¿½il, heteroseksizmin hiï¿½ de ï¿½doï¿½alï¿½ olmayan kurgusal, yani ideolojik karakterini aï¿½ï¿½ï¿½a vurur. Cinsel ï¿½eï¿½itliliï¿½i inkï¿½r eden, herkesi tek bir kimliï¿½e hapsetmeye ï¿½alï¿½ï¿½an, hayatï¿½n her alanï¿½nda homofobi ï¿½reten sisteme karï¿½ï¿½ tï¿½m cinsel kimlikler ï¿½zerindeki yasak ve baskï¿½larï¿½n kalkmasï¿½nï¿½, cinsel ï¿½eï¿½itliliï¿½in toplumun olaï¿½an bir unsuru haline gelmesini savunmalï¿½yï¿½z. ï¿½Herkesin iï¿½inde yatanï¿½ yeni insanï¿½ ancak bï¿½yle aï¿½ï¿½ï¿½a ï¿½ï¿½karabiliriz.
